  • What is Reiki Healing?

    Reiki is a Japanese form of alternative medicine called energy healing. Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a "universal energy" is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing.You will be required to fill out a Client Intake Form and sign a HIPAA Acknowledgment form. Afterward, the therapist will begin by asking you general questions to establish what areas you would like worked on, if there are any conditions needing to be addressed, and determine if massage is appropriate for you.


    Your massage therapist may perform certain assessments and testing to evaluate your condition.


    It is important to list all health concerns and medications so the therapist can adapt the session to your specific needs without doing any harm. It is also important to list any allergies so the therapist is aware if he/she needs to use a different oil or lotion during the session.Acupuncture is a treatment in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that involves the use of hair-thin needles on particular points throughout the body. The needles are inserted and promote the realignment of the flow of qi, the energy that runs through a person's body.     The oils capture the plant’s scent and flavor, or “essence.”


    Unique aromatic compounds give each essential oil its characteristic essence.


    Essential oils are obtained through distillation (via steam and/or water) or mechanical methods, such as cold pressing.


    Once the aromatic chemicals have been extracted, they are combined with a carrier oil to create a product that’s ready for use.


    The way the oils are made is important, as essential oils obtained through chemical processes are not considered true essential oils.
